Yes there are ducks in this post can you find them....
Well, here we are back again a little over 24 hours later and well my latest development in the Kennel Klub site is that me and Internet Explorer are no longer friends. Well I was never a big fan of IE but over the past 24 hours my hatred has really solidified for this browser. Why do I dislike the most widely used internet browser out, well because it just doesn't render CSS the way it is supposed to. It has nothing to do with the way the CSS is written because everything is fine and dandy in Firefox, Safari, and Opera, just not the wonderful IE from Microsoft. But enough of my beef with IE because I am slowly but surely hacking my way around this problem with the CSS.
Ok so as I mentioned yesterday with the navigation bar I wanted to eliminate all the code in the HTML files and strip it down to a couple lines of JavaScript, well this has been completed for both the navbar and the footer of the page. This creates the ability to only need to edit one file for the footer or navbar to make the changes effective site wide, which you may know if you have ever made changes to a footer or any other common element side wide is a pain if you have to do it on every page. This all worked fine and dandy or at least I thought it did, [this is where I started to remember why I disliked IE]. I believe it is the footer positioning that is the culprit for messing things up in IE but for the most part this has been fixed with a reasonable solution. So all that is left for me to complete with this site is to add some media such as pictures of animals at the kennel and the kennel itself. And there is also the final tweaking of things to make the site supported by all commonly used browsers such as IE, Firefox, and Safari.
As promised here are the ducks in this post. These 3 guys were hanging out in the front yard the other day, I took this picture because I have never seen ducks around here especially Mallard Ducks.
Until Next Time.....
